Food was great but there was a retirement party going on in the back room and some of the people from the party were standing in front of the building smoking and harassing customers as they left The Green Turtle. A family lunch was ruined due to lack of personnel keeping these beer drinking partiers in line. I haven't eaten here for a few years due to a problem like this had happen before so it seem times haven't changed.

Average food. Draft beer is never ice cold. Wait staff isn't consistent. Only come here if I'm invited by friends. There's def better Turtles out there. Unless you're getting everything for free, go somewhere else.

Their burgers are pretty good, and the place is clean, with fairly good service. The servers are very friendly. They are always very busy here at dinner time, and it's quite loud. But if you're just wanting to grab a burger, it's fine. They are pricey for a burger joint.

Wow. Such non-phenomenal service! Got ONE refill of water after having to wave a super not busy server. Food came separately. Others in the party finished their meals before we got ours and it was a four party table. Asked for the check and it took at least 30 min to get it back. Not a busy night and horrible service. Mark has restored my faith in The Greene Turtle!!!! Go Mark!!!!

My daughter found a metal ring in her strawberry lemonade. Dangerous? I think so! Service was slow and unresponsive. Never coming back. Update and a more detailed note of what happened: Both of us spend the night sick from the food. My daughter and I were up all night and thankfully we have multiple bathrooms in our house. What angered me the most was the accusatory tone the manager took when he confronted us about the metal binding ring. If my daughter was not sitting on the other side of the table, I would have raised my voice and hurled some colorful insults. So, in closing, we were insulted, received poor service, did I mention they screwed up my order?, and finally, we got some form of food poisoning. They did comp the drink my daughter ordered (you know, the one with the metal ring in it) and part of her meal (she never finished it because she was scared to eat another thing). We didn't finished any of the other food but they didn't seem to care.

We had a party of two waiting to be acknowledged by the hostess for at least 15 minutes, mind you there were several waitstaff that approached the front desk that looked at us but never said anything remotely like "someone will be right with you" or anything else acknowledging our presence. We felt totally invisible! Finally someone addressed us but informed us that it would be quite some time before we would be served because they had a large party. That amazed me because the restaurant side was half empty! We asked to speak with a manager and waited at least another 15 minutes with no one ever coming to speak with us. What a huge waste of time and effort to go all the way to La Plata to go to the Green Turtle and be disrespected!

No stars....came in for a few drinks and snacks around 4:00. Waited several minutes for anyone to even greet us at the hostess stand. No one was there! My husband walked over to the bar to get someone. Finally someone came and we asked to sit outside where one other table of people was seated. Looked over menus and decided what we wanted. A server came out to the other table while we still waited for service. After about 10 minutes we got up and walked out the front door. No one noticed. It was certainly not a busy time but not even acknowledged that we left........

Used the go.waiter.com service to get food from this Green Turtle location. This was my first time using the service. The person taking my order was great..at least I thought so at the time. Placed the order. Two items. Nothing complicated.. so I thought. I ordered a Fleet Street Chicken dish and a Cowboy burger. The burger came with bbq sauce, bacon, cheddar cheese and onion straws. I added lettuce, tomato, mustard and mayo with the bbq on the side. Food was expected to arrive between 8:15 and 8:20.. food arrived at 8:36. Tipped the driver and brought the food in. When I opened the box with my burger... there was an old piece of lettuce, a tin tomato and bbq sauce on the side! Where is the burger I ordered? I called go.waiter and Christina was very helpful in trying to resolve the issue. I was given a credit for my burger but I was not happy with the overall service. I will probably never use this service again because of the Green Turtle. I will never visit to dine in. If you think so little of your customers you will not profit from me. I gave ome star because I had to.

TGT has a variety of local beersto choose from. The menu has lots of variety when it comes to appetizers and it's regular menu. Everyone in your family or group should find something they would enjoy to eat. I try something new each time I come here. A very nice atmosphere for all ages to enjoy. There is also outside dining if you would like.

I was skeptical about coming here after reading reviews, but the kids wanted to go. The food was good! We asked for our wings well done and they got that perfect. I just wish the wings had more sauce. Easy fix. I had the crab dip flatbread. That should be illegal. It was delicious...I don't even want to know how many calories. Hubby had a salad with shrimp. Good. I had a sip of his strawberry lemonade it was really good and served in a huge Mason jar with free refills! Why not 5 stars? The service was kind of slow. The restaurant wasn't crowded and it was Thursday, so no excuse there. Small things like bringing us wings for 4 people and only 2 plates - the kids ate on napkins. French fries but no ketchup. Drink cup empty for way too long. If you sit outside, be sure to use bug spray! I got bit many times and finally went inside while hubby waited for the waitress to bring the check.

Been to several Greene Turtles. This one has a nice feel. The service came with a smile & a lot of checkins & food came quick. It was between lunch & happy hour & outside of major sporting seasons so it wasn't crowded. I tried a new dish, their mac & cheese which came with a decent amount of lump crab meat & was fresh & tasty. Looks like a good place to come back to during sporting events. They have a private party area that would be good for networking events or lunch with the office staff. Prices are reasonable. A range of the usual American dining options and a few house specialties that have appeal.

Absolutely pathetic establishment! Ate here earlier today and aside from having to ask for items repeatedly, the servers were almost non-existent. Came back here this evening and waited at the bar for 10 minutes, never saw any bar staff or manager. All of the severs were congregated in the back hall out of sight and on their phones. There were about 20 patrons in the bar, some drinks were empty, yet no bartender to fill them. Called and asked for a manager, it took him 3 minutes just to pick up the call, he was clueless. Eric, as the manager, you should be out front and making sure the guests are satisfied and your staff stays off the phones and out of the hall. This is no way to build sales or repeat business. Way to go team, and you all want 10.25 and hour, ha what a joke.

Please just take everyone's advice and do not even attempt to eat here. Understand that is mainly a bar scene but I have been to others and they are way better. The customer service is absolutely horrible here. It took almost 10 minutes for the hostess to come back up to the stand and she was STILL CHEWING as she approached. No one else even attempted to acknowledge our presence. Our server was completely in lala land and could not get it together. The food was decent but then on the way home, two of us got "pull over right now" sick.

I was a little nervous stopping in for lunch on a Saturday with all the other reviewers saying what terrible customer service they had experienced. However, our waitress was really good. She kept glasses filled and had helpful recommendations. The Blazing Wings are delicious! Perfect hotness!

I restaurant was nice, the bar was full (even for a Sunday afternoon) but we went straight to the party room to celebrate a family affair. The waitress was very nice, but this is more about the food. The party platters ordered were good, but I wanted something more so that I didn't have to cook when I got home. My son wanted a burger, I got the Mac & cheese with lump crab meat and bacon, and believe me when I say, it sounds better then it tastes. Neither my son or I are picky eaters, but we both would not choose the Green Turtle again. Now, at a chain restaurant I'm not looking for impressive, but at least comfort food should be pretty decent. His burger wasn't even a regular burger. They put Worcheshire sauce and tried to do it up to be fancy. Sometimes just do it and don't try to make it fancy. This chain restaurant just "tried" too hard, and landed with a "fail" * thumbs down*.
